- Particle Alignment: For effective sieving, non-isometric particles must be correctly aligned with the screen’s plane, and their center of gravity should be positioned above the aperture at all times.
- Material Distribution: To ensure smooth passage of smaller particles, the screen must not be overloaded with material, as larger particles can obstruct the smaller ones.
- Motion and Vibration: Horizontal rotary motion must be imparted to the particles to facilitate effective separation. The motion should be carefully controlled during dry sieving and grading to prevent excessive size reduction of the particles or damage to the screen.
