Spheronizer consists of a vertical cylindrical bowl with a rotating friction disk located inside the bowl. Extrudate is charged on the rotating plate and broken into short segments by contact with friction plate. Plastic deformation of rotating Extrudates at high velocities results in spherical shaped pellets.
